Are these audio samples or loops?+
No. These are MPC chord progressions, not audio samples or loops. You load them as progression files and play them from your pads. The audio previews are just demos of the chords in action.
Can I preview every pack before buying?+
Yes. The demo player at the top of this page lets you hear progressions from the packs. More previews are on each product page so you can hear the vibe before you commit.
Are these just MIDI files?+
No. They're custom chord progressions formatted for the MPC and built around Pad Perform. The value isn't the file type. It's that they're organized, genre-inspired, and ready to play on the pads.
Which MPCs are supported?+
All MPCs that support Pad Perform, including: MPC Live, MPC Live II, MPC Live III, MPC One, MPC One+, MPC X, MPC X SE, MPC XL, MPC Key 61, and MPC Key 37.
Can I use them outside of the MPC?+
Yes. Every pack ships with Scaler 2 `.xml` files, so you can load the same progressions into Scaler in any DAW (Ableton, Logic, FL, Pro Tools, etc.) and play them with any instrument.
Do I need music theory?+
No. Load the pack, hit the pads, build around what sounds right. If you do know theory, you can flip and reharmonize freely.
Do I need Scaler 2?+
No. MPC users can use the `.progression` files alone. Scaler `.xml` files are included if you want to use them in any DAW.
Will my beats sound like everyone else's?+
No. A chord progression is a starting point. Your drums, sound selection, sampling, arrangement and ear are what make the beat yours.
Can I use these in commercial releases?+
Yes. Royalty-free for use in your own beats, productions, and commercial songs.
